Help Support Our Cause

The Akaa Project would be grateful for philanthropic donors and sponsors who would help move this humanitarian endeavor forward.

Mission

Our mission is to work with, support, and create opportunity for families in the Akaa community in the Eastern Region of Ghana. As a nonprofit organization, the Akaa Project works alongside families in the village of Akaa to alleviate poverty and promote self reliance. We focus on strategies to improve the health, education, and financial well being of the village families. The project is presently engaged in helping the people build a school for their children, establish access to health care and enhance community finances through small business initiatives. As the project unfolds, it plans to invite neighboring communities to engage in this cooperative endeavor. The Akaa Project is built upon a model of mutual respect and cultivates an ongoing regard for the values, culture and traditions of this Ghanaian community. The community is involved with all initiatives, projects, and decision-making. With a unique collaboration model, the Project invites national and international collaborators to join in its humanitarian efforts.

The Akaa Project is a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization.
