Where We Work

Rural villages are rarely labelled and quite difficult to find on maps. Check out our map to know exactly where we work.

The Akaa Community

Akaa is a remote and rural community located in the Yilo Krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana near the popular tourist attractions of Akaa Falls, Boti Falls, Umbrella Rock, and 3-in-1 Palm Tree. This community struggles with daily essential needs such as clean water and access to medical care. The Akaa Project currently works with several villages in the Akaa community, we will continue to expand and reach out to surrounding villages. The Krobo people have a rich culture and history that includes the well-known, traditional puberty rite, the Dipo.
